The time has come to form a new Hwalbindang, to restore the ravaged environment and build a 'Global Yuldo Nation' where the benefits are shared equally among all living beings.

I knew of Gildong's exceptional talents, yet I could not embrace him due to the laws and reputation of my station. Trapped by my own justifications, I ignored my son's suffering. The older generation of today seems just like me. They know the severity of climate change, yet, captivated by the old cause of 'economic growth,' they ignore the suffering of future generations. Sustainable development must begin with admitting the faults of the past. Do not be like me and regret it too late. Today, while chanting 'sustainable development,' the wealthiest nations continue to emit vast amounts of carbon and pass the damage onto poorer nations. How can this be called justice? True sustainability is not a slogan; it is action. Just as we took from the unjustly rich and gave to the poor, we must hold those who monopolize profits by destroying the environment accountable with strong measures like a 'carbon tax,' and use that cost to support afflicted regions and future generations.
